Supporting your child's physical, social, and emotional wellbeing is more important now than ever before! Small group in-person classes are being offered at the Maitri Center to support all aspects of your child's wellbeing, so they can navigate our ever-changing world with greater resiliency & balance. Maitri Center welcomes children & families of all abilities, genders & identities.  If your child has special needs, please call 608-345-1597 or email before registering to ensure they will have the support they need to fully participate!

Club Mindfulness Summer Workshop Series

This program is for students entering grades 1-8.

Exciting opportunity for kids to explore mindfulness through Japanese contemplative arts such as haiku & ikebana, as well as mindful movement, loving-kindness, and pebble meditation in the tradition of the late Vietnamese meditation master, Thich Nhat Hanh. 

Themes and age groupings will be announced soon.

Fees include all materials for creative projects.

Mindful Munchkins

4 Wednesdays | June 7-28 | 6:00-7:00 PM

In person at Maitri Center

For children ages 4-7 along with their parent ot other important grownup.

A playful introduction to mindfulness and yoga for little ones!! Come play, sing, and discover the joys of movement and stillness together!

$80 per child/grownup duo (includes materials for crafts)

Mindful Kids 6-week series 

For kids in grades K-5

By planting the seeds of mindfulness, children will discover their inner calm and social connectedness through interactive games, stories, movement, and crafts!

Mindfulness for 'Tweens & Middle Schoolers grades 6-8

Specially designed for pre-/early adolescent students in grades 5-8 (ages 10-14), this engaging 6-week series teaches the essential elements of mindfulness through the acronym BREATHE:

By cultivating mindful awareness of inner and outer experiences, students will learn to connect with their innate peaceful and compassionate nature while practicing techniques that pave the way for greater balance, resiliency, and emotional wellbeing. 


Central to this course is our focus on nurturing our authentic selves through exploratory exercises that deepen our appreciation for the unique gifts each of us brings to the world. This course can be a life changer for many students!
