Supporting your child's physical, social, and emotional wellbeing is more important now than ever before! Small group in-person classes are being offered at the Maitri Center to support all aspects of your child's wellbeing, so they can navigate our ever-changing world with greater resiliency & balance. Maitri Center welcomes children & families of all abilities, genders & identities.  If your child has special needs, please call 608-345-1597 or email contemplative.ed@gmail.com before registering to ensure they will have the support they need to fully participate!

Mindful Monkeys 6-week series 

For kids ages 5-8 and in grades K-2 

Winter Session: February 7-March 13, 4:30-5:30 PM ***FULL (add to waitlist by clicking the winter session button, or enroll now for the spring session to ensure your child's spot in class)

Spring Session: April 10-May 15, 4:30-5:30 PM

By planting the seeds of mindfulness, younger elementary aged students will discover their inner calm and social connectedness through interactive games, stories, movement, and crafts curated just for this age group! 

Offered in partnership with Oregon Community Ed & Rec.

Mindful Kids 6-week series 

For kids ages 8-11 and in grades 3-5

Mindful Munchkins

For children ages 4-7 along with their parent or other important grownup.

A playful introduction to mindfulness and yoga for little ones!! Come play, sing, and discover the joys of movement and stillness together!

Please register in the parent's name. A liability form will be emailed to gather child information. This information must be returned within one week to secure your spot.

Mindfulness for 'Tweens & Middle Schoolers grades 6-8

Specially designed for pre-/early adolescent students in grades 5-8 (ages 10-14), this engaging 6-week series teaches the essential elements of mindfulness through the acronym BREATHE:


By cultivating mindful awareness of inner and outer experiences, students will learn to connect with their innate peaceful and compassionate nature while practicing techniques that pave the way for greater balance, resiliency, and emotional wellbeing. 

 

Central to this course is our focus on nurturing our authentic selves through exploratory exercises that deepen our appreciation for the unique gifts each of us brings to the world. This course can be a life changer for many students!
